About the EPC
"In all things essential, unity. In all things nonessential, liberty. In all things, charity."
Important Events this week:
Rev. Turner will have office hours at the church on Fridays from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. If you would like to meet with him, please indicate this on the Covenant Community Card that is in the bulletin. He can also be reached by email, text, or cell phone. (See the back side of the bulletin under CONNECT.) Leave a voice mail if he is currently unable to answer his phone.
Covenant is responsible for mowing the grounds in May. Please let Dane Freeman know if you are able to help with this chore.
The Mission Committee has decided to continue the Hope for Justice fund. The Session approved this as an ongoing church-wide mission. (The WINGS group has been supporting this mission project for several years.) A monthly $25 donation from our church will be used to help rescue human sex-trafficking victims by providing medical attention, housing, food, clothing, counseling, education, and by providing job training and placement assistance, as needed. Currently, Hope for Justice helps victims in both Cambodia and the United States. There is a collection box in the narthex. We are asking each person to make this mission a part of your monthly giving. Many young girls (and boys) will be blessed by your generosity.
It is Baby Bottle Boomerang time again! It starts on Mothers’ Day and will run through Fathers’ Day. All proceeds goes to the Haven Health Clinic.
Our Mission Committee is asking everyone to begin filling up our Fellowship Hall’s collection box with canned goods, which will be donated to the Salvation Army.
Copies of the May calendar can be found in the narthex, the hallway and the Fellowship Hall.
