Did you know… the liturgical colors for 2017 call for white paraments on the 26th. Why? Because it's Transfiguration Sunday. The Transfiguration of Jesus is an event reported in the New Testament that occurs when Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain. (Matthew 17)
Our March Supper Club will be Tuesday, March 7 at Red Lobster. Our reservation is for 6:30. Please let the Cassidys know if you will be able to attend.
Our Mission Committee is asking everyone to begin filling up our Fellowship Hall’s collection box with canned goods, which will be donated to the Salvation Army. Requested items are canned proteins (chicken, tuna, salmon, Spam, Treet); canned pasta and pasta sauce; canned chili, canned fruit, and canned vegetables (excluding corn, green beans, and peas – they already have plenty).
Copies of the church directory are now available. You can find them in the narthex, the hallway and the Fellowship Hall.
Teresa Nichols has asked for the following announcement to be included: We had a big success in the fall for our part for the Liver Donations. Now it is that time again. While you are winter and spring cleaning, don't throw anything away. We will be getting stuff ready for another big yard sale to benefit the Kidney and Liver Transplant Foundation to help patients with their medical expenses. Don't throw anything away because I will take it. Call me 706-266-6677 or see me at church. Thank you and God Bless
